The Lafayette Lions & Lioness Lions Club 21st Annual Radio Auction on WLCT 102.1FM will be tonight thru Wednesday from 6-10pm each night. During the auction call 615-666-2121 to place your bid.


The Lafayette Elementary Fall Festival will be Friday, dinner starts at 5:30pm and the activities (haunted storytelling, face painting, games, prize walk, inflatables & auction) will be from 6-9pm.


Everyone is invited to come out and sing out of the old “Heavenly Highway Hymns” songbook at the Do Re Mi Gospel Music Academy at 275 Cedar Bluff Road in Hartsville, Sunday at 2pm.


Mayor Driver has designated the week of October 23rd as Fall Clean Up/Fix Up Week for the Lafayette City residents. This is for items not normally picked up by the sanitation truck. The city will not pick up wire, tires, wood, rock, construction materials or any item containing Freon. Pick ups will be the same day of the week as your normal garbage route. Set it out the night before, next to the road.


Macon Christian Academy will have their Fall Festival, Saturday from 1-5pm. There will be games, cake walk, bouncy houses, silent auction, concessions and fun for the whole family. Everyone is welcome.

The Upper Cumberland Area Agency on Aging and Disability invites seniors and caregivers from across the region to attend the 16th Annual Upper Cumberland Senior Expo, Thursday from 9-1pm at The Hyder-Burks Agricultural Pavilion in Cookeville.


Macon County General Hospital will begin a Weight Watchers series November 1st at 11am. The free informational meeting will be Wednesday at 11am in the hospital conference room.  New member cost is $139 for the 12 week series. For more information call 615-666-2147.

The Macon County Planning Commission will meet, tonight at 6pm in the UCHRA Building. The public is invited to attend.


The Mt. Hermon Community Center will have a Dance, Friday featuring the Skahls. Doors open at 6 and the dance starts at 7pm.


Coel’s Haunted Woods of Torment at 4029 Bakerton Road, Red Boiling Springs will be open Friday & Saturday and the 27th – 28th, beginning each night at dark. All proceeds go to the Mt. Vernon Volunteer Fire Dept.


Vision 2020 Inc. will host The Sons of The Pioneers Concert, October 30th at 7pm at The Donoho Hotel and Family Entertainment Center. Proceeds will benefit the RBS Heritage Museum Fund. For more information call 615-388-3046.
