During the month of May, Macon Community Hospital is offering Free Vitamin D Screenings. No appointment required, just drop by Monday thru Friday between 7-5pm. Call 615-666-2147 for more information.

Soulfire Ministries Discount General Store at 116 Main Street is a non-profit faith based store where everyone is welcome. Hours are Mon-Sat. 10am – 7pm.

Sign Ups are open for Macon County Public Library System’s 2026 Summer Reading Program. Sign up at either location during May.

Macon County Youth Football, Cheerleading and Flag Sign Ups will be Saturday at Pat Parker Field from 8-4pm. Flag ages are 4-6, little tackle ages 6-9 and big tackle is 5th and 6th grades. For more information call 615-670-6637.

The Mr. Hermon Community Center will have a dance Saturday night featuring No Deposit. Doors open at 6pm and the dance starts at 7pm.

You’re invited to a Yard Sale at 252 Main Street in Red Boiling Springs, Friday & Saturday. You’ll find antiques, books, dishes, electronics, fabric and much more! All proceeds go to the RBS Heritage Museum Fund.

The 12th Annual RBS Auto Jam will be Saturday at 210 Market Street in Red Boiling Springs. Registration is from 8-11am. All proceeds benefit RBS Fire & Rescue.

The Macon County Planning Commission will meet, Tuesday at 6pm at the Welcome Center.

The Macon County Legislative Body will meet in regular session, Monday night at 6:30pm.

Payne Cemetery Decoration and Potluck will be Sunday at 1pm. Bring a covered dish and lawn chair. Donations are needed for upkeep. Call Betty Roddy at 615-666-6693 for more information.

Decoration services at Shrum Cemetery will be Sunday. Bro George Talley will bring the message at 11am and a potluck dinner will follow the service.

Bro Dawson Knight will preach at Maple Grove #2 Missionary Baptist Church, Sunday night at 6pm.

A memorial service will be held at Union Missionary Baptist Church, Sunday at 11am and will be followed by the worship service.

Bro James Harrison will preach at Days Cross Roads Missionary Baptist Church, Sunday at 11am.

Bro Timmy Bush will preach at Lafayette Missionary Baptist Church, Sunday night at 6pm.

Bro BJ West will preach at Meadorville Missionary Baptist Church, Sunday at 11am.
