Lafayette United Methodist Church food giveaway is every 3rd Thursday of each month from noon until 2pm.

During the month of February, Macon Community Hospital is offering Free Lipid Panel Tests. You can walk in Monday thru Friday between 7-5pm and request your free lipid panel test. You will need to fast for at least 6 hours prior to coming in. Macon Community Hospital is also offering Cardiac Calcium Scoring tests for just $50 during February. Call 615-666-2147 to schedule.

Weather permitting; Macon County Public Library has Story Time each Tuesday at 10am and at the Red Boiling Springs Branch Library each Wednesday at 10am.

Lafayette City Hall will be closed Monday in observance of President’s Day. Monday’s trash will be picked up on Tuesday.

The Macon County Legislative Body will meet in regular session, Tuesday night at 6:30pm.

The Macon County Public Library and Red Boiling Springs Branch have a Design a Bookmark Contest underway. Pick up a template at the library and return it by Saturday. Winners will receive a free movie ticket courtesy of Lafayette Cinema along with a special surprise.

The Macon County Industrial Development Board will hold a special called meeting, Wednesday at 2pm in the Legislative Room in the Administrative Building. This is to discuss and or take action on administrative relative to financial accounts.
