The Mt. Hermon Community Center will have a dance Saturday night featuring Busted Flat. Doors open at 6pm and the dance starts at 7pm.

American Legion Post 117 will meet Tuesday evening at 5pm at the VFW Hall.

Sozo Ministries 3rd Annual Toy Drive is underway and going through Dec. 15th. Toys can be dropped off at Soul Fire Ministries at 116 Main Street and check out their Facebook page to see what local restaurants are giving specials for donating toys. Calvary Baptist Church will once again be participating in its Christmas backpack program. The church will be giving away backpacks for children ages 2-17 who are in need of one of the backpacks, which contain a variety of essential supplies. The backpacks will be given away the morning of Dec. 13th. Interested individuals must register Dec. 6th by calling Craig Harris at 615-633-8090.

The Macon County Public Library will host a Weaving and Spinning Demonstration, Monday from 1-5pm at 311 Church Street. This event is free and open to the public.

The Local Emergency Planning Committee meeting will be Wednesday at 9am at the Emergency Operations Center.

The Macon County Planning Commission will meet Tuesday night at 6pm at the Welcome Center.

The Macon County Legislative Body will meet in regular session, Monday evening at 6:30pm.

The Annual MCHS Gifts and Craft Fair will be Saturday from 8-3pm at 2550 Days Road in Lafayette. The entry fee is $3.

Lafayette Missionary Baptist Church will have Bring a Friend Day, Sunday. Sunday school is at 10am and church begins at 11am.

Bro Jason Goad will preach at Union Missionary Baptist Church, Sunday at 11am.
