The Step Back in Time Shop located at 252 Main Street in Red Boiling Springs will have Roy Henson Basket Class, Saturday at 10am. The class fee is $50 and class size is limited. To register call 615-699-1919 leave your name, number and that you’d like to be a part of the Jan. 17th class.

During January, Macon Community Hospital is offering Free Thyroid (TSH) Blood Screenings! This simple blood test checks how well your thyroid gland is working. Screenings are available Monday thru Friday from 7am – 5pm throughout the month of January.

Lafayette United Methodist Church food giveaway is every 3rd Thursday of each month from noon until 2pm.

Macon County Public Library has Story Time each Tuesday at 10am and at the Red Boiling Springs Branch Library each Wednesday at 10am.

Macon County High school invites seniors and their parents to their FAFSA Workshop, Tuesday from 9-4pm in the high school library. Make sure to bring your 2024 tax return, W2s, social security card or passport and driver’s license.

Lafayette City Hall will be closed Monday in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. day. Monday’s garbage will be picked up on Tuesday.

You’re invited to talk herbs with Native American Herbalist Don Scruggs, Saturday at 10am at the Red Boiling Springs Branch Library. This event is free and open to the public.

The Macon County Planning Commission will meet Tuesday night at 6pm at the Macon County Welcome Center.

The Macon County Legislative Body will meet in regular session, Tuesday night at 6:30pm.
